Hi, I'm Allie!

I am truly so grateful to be sharing my bio alongside Miranda’s!

A little over five years ago my husband and I made our way back to Northeastern, CO. Sterling is “home” for him and quickly became the same for me.

We now have two energetic and adventurous boys (ages two & four), who are of course the drivers behind my desire to support mothers and families in breastfeeding + maternal wellness.

I recently completed 95 hours to become a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and hope to become an IBCLC in the future. I am also a RN and have a degree in Dietetics from CSU (Go Rams)!

I love to cook, garden, run and of course spend time with my family!

If Miranda and I were to share our story about the evolution of First Feed, it would be pretty apparent that God put it on our hearts to do this and do it together.

I can’t wait to begin serving our community through First Feed and the mission/values we have established as our foundation!

Hey there!

My name is Miranda and I’m so happy to be here, sharing a little bit about me with you!

I’m a momma to four beautiful children! I have three boys ages 13,10,9 and a sweet and spicy little girl who is almost 4 years old already! I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we live on his family farm in small town Padroni, CO. I love hanging out with family, working out, helping families make simple health changes, and I have found a new love for making homemade food, especially sourdough bread!

I’m an RN and worked in Women and Infant Services for 13 years. I cared for mothers and families before and during labor and in the postpartum stage and taught basic newborn care. For 11 of those years I worked as a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) where I spent many, many hours working with mothers and families, providing education and assistance in feeding their newborns.

My desire to provide more support for growing families and lactation women started over 13 years ago when I faced difficulties and challenges in my own breastfeeding experience. I also saw many women struggle after being discharged from the hospital and knew that more support was needed in our community.

In November 2021 I made the decision to leave my job to stay at home full time and pursue other passions and dreams, such as THIS! I knew I wanted to continue using my skills and knowledge in women and infant care, but I had no idea that First Feed would so quickly be my next adventure! It perfectly aligns with what I’ve felt led to do and it has definitely been the work of God that my partner Allie, and I’s paths crossed and that we both have similar hearts! I am so honored and proud to be doing this alongside one of the sweetest humans.

In April 2024, I sat for the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant exam, the highest certification for healthcare professionals specializing in the field of lactation, and I’m proud to say I am officially a Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

I am truly so thankful for this opportunity to provide lactation support in my community and help families in this stage of life. I have gained so many amazing relationships along the way and I am so grateful for that. My hope is that First Feed will bless many mothers, babies and families in our community and beyond.
